This webinar will share FIGO’s position and key recommendations on the issue of ‘Conscientious Objection’ (CO); identify the human rights and medical/clinical implications concerning ‘CO’; demonstrate the impact CO (given the lack of regulation and/or lack of conscientious providers) has on health workers and women and girls’ access to safe abortion services; and discuss ways forward – whether tighter regulation or repeal of ‘CO’ are desirable or acceptable options.
