Dear EFC Colleagues and Friends and National Colposcopy Societies,
The whole Europe and World has suffered from the COVID-pandemic and it is not over yet and hardly even this year. Hope you all have been safe and well!
Despite this tragedy we need to think also about brighter things like training, meetings, and development. Thus, we are happy to remind you that EFC’s 7th Satellite meeting, with a VERY interesting programme, will be held in Helsinki, Finland on 8th May 2021, directly after the FCS-EFC Advanced Colposcopy Course 6-7th May, that also has an excellent scientific programme. Both are arranged as on-line virtual meetings.
Please visit the EFC web page https://efcolposcopy.eu/events/, where you can find the detailed programmes of both meetings as well as the registration platform. There is also information of the abstracts. The three best are awarded and also shall be presented on-line.
The Advanced Course is a brilliant way to update your knowledge directly from the top researchers on this field. During the Satellite meeting we will discuss many burning issues like persistent HPV-infections, EFC’s ongoing work to produce EFC colposcopy guidelines, how to handle media and social media now when anti-vaccine and anti-LLETZ information is abundantly available, and finally how we should train young coloscopists in Europe.
EFC values your expert opinion and that’s why I am calling you, representants from each and every EFC member country, to come to VIRTUAL- Helsinki and join the meetings. What could be a better occasion to share our opinions and to develop collaboration throughout Europe?
I also encourage to spread the word of these meetings in your hospitals, institutes and societies. Please activate also your research groups and especially younger scientist to send their abstracts to the meetings.
